The History Of Unlucky Theatre Company

The Unlucky Theatre Comapny was formed in October 2009, by Miles Leven and Nick Shirm. The primary aim of the company was to put on a production of “Saucy Jack And The Space Vixens” The Fringe First Award Winning Musical Set in a seed space cabaret bar .

Following a month long run in Barnet, the company were asked by the writers of the show to transfer the production to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. This was a great oppertunity, and the company enjoyed a 26 night run of the festival, with multiple 5 star reviews.

After a successful run at the fringe, the company returned home. Leaving no time to rest, they staged a self written adult pantomime “Over The Rainbow.”

Over the rainbow took place at the bull theatre for one night only in december 2010 and despite the extreme weather, it went down amazingly. the whole audience in a conga line to the bar at the interval and screaming obscenities throughout the show, the production was a success.

A year later, with one adult panto already under their belt, the company felt the world was ready for more. So in December 2011 they performed “Aladdin, the adult panto.” Bigger, sexier and ruder than before the show was loved by everyone that came to see it.

Between productions the company have helped and assited in many other projects, including shows for schools, videos for bands and various other ventures.

The company are keeping them selves busy with members studying at various colleges including, “Guildhall school of music & Drama” “ Royal Achademy of Dramatic Arts” and “ The Royal Central School Of Speech and Drama.”
